0. Create a Project

Overview

Creating a project is the first step in any TytonAI workflow. Projects act as containers for your spatial data, classifications, and analyses. This guide covers how to create a new project using the in-app wizard.

Create a New Project

Step 1: Open the Project Creation Menu

  1. Navigate to the top menu bar.
  2. Click FileNewProject.

Step 2: Fill in Project Details

In the Create Project window, complete the following fields:

  • Project Name: Enter a unique name for the project.
  • Icon: Select a custom icon to visually represent your project.
  • Decimal Place: The decimal place that all coordinates will be rounded to and stored as.
  • Colour: Choose a colour for project tagging and UI reference.
  • Client: (optional) Choose a client from the dropdown list if applicable.
  • Project Description: Add a brief description for future reference.

Step 3: Create the Project

Once all required fields are complete:

  • Click the Create button to initialise the project.

Step 4: Project Confirmation

  • Your new project will appear in the Explorer panel on the top-left of the interface.
  • You are now ready to begin working within your newly created project.

What’s Next?

To continue setting up your environment, proceed to the Deploy Your Imagery documentation to add your spatial data to the project.

tip
  • Reccomended to use a decimal place of 2 or 3 if the projection units are in metres (1cm or 1mm accuracy).
  • Use consistent naming conventions for your projects to make them easy to search and organise later.
  • Selecting an icon and colour can help visually distinguish projects—especially when managing multiple environments.
